The gentle sway of the hammock in the backyard was hypnotic. Liam had spent the last hour lost in thought, the rhythmic motion lulling him into a sense of stillness. The birds chirped merrily, and the sun warmed his skin. He felt a rare lack of stress.

He'd been dreading this appointment, as always. The therapy had been a last resort. But today, he felt an unexpected sense of peace. That was until he saw his old rival, Carter, standing at the back door. The very Carter who'd made his life hell for years.

"Liam?" Carter called out. "Come on in, we can start when you are ready." Liam swallowed, his initial calmness wavering. He pushed himself up and walked over. Maybe this wouldn't be as bad as he thought.
